LIMITLESS Officially Canceled by CBS
CBS has officially canceled Limitless after one season, according to the trade magazines. Based on the movie starring Bradley Cooper, the series started strong but faded as the season progressed, averaging just over 10 million viewers, similar to the numbers for Supergirl, which is moving to The CW. Cooper served as an executive producer on the show, in which he also had a recurring role as his movie character, Eddie Morra.
The news was confirmed by show runner Craig Sweeny on Twitter:

Limitless starred Jake McDorman and Jennifer Carpenter in a continuation of the story that had McDorman’s Brian Finch the next recipient of NZT, the drug that boosted mental faculties to near-genius levels. Hired as a consultant by the FBI, Finch uses his newfound powers to help solve crimes with Agent Rebecca Harris (Carpenter).
According to reports last week during the CBS upfronts, network president Glen Geller said the show was being shopped around after the eyeball network decided not to keep it on their roster, but the new report is that the show is completely done.
Unless someone wants to start a petition…

At last report, it was done for good. Although you never know, these days.
