FANTASTIC FOUR Finds Doom

Variety reports that Toby Kebbell has been selected to play Victor von Doom in the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

According to the report, the deal is still in the works, but looks pretty solid. Kebbell would round out the principles in the cast, which include Kate Mara, Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell in an updated story based on the Ultimate Fantastic Four, an alternate version of the classic team.

Directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle), this reboot has a much younger team getting their powers as a result of a secret government project rather than sending them out into space to be exposed to “cosmic radiation”. This version also has the potential to cross over into the X-Men universe, as Fox owns the film rights to both sets of characters and has expressed an interest in building a megafranchise.

The Fantastic Four hits theaters June 19, 2015.
