Col. Chris Hadfield Launches Album

BANNER_News2013

Colonel Chris Hadfield, not content to be one of the coolest guys on social media, has announced a music album. Space Sessions: Songs from a Tin Can is a 12 track album set to be released on October 9 on iTunes, CD, and 180 Gram Vinyl.

If you know Hadfield at all, you are probably aware that he’s not only done videos on what happens when you wring out a cloth in zero gravity and whether you can cry in space, but he’s also done some music. Whether it’s singing along (from the ISS) with the Barenaked Ladies or doing a rendition of “Space Oddity” for his last video before coming home, his love of music has only helped his charm.

He’s released three lyric videos on his YouTube Channel, and you can order not only the album from his website, but also t-shirts, hoodies, and bundles that include the above AND patches. And yes, at least according to the iTunes listing, it includes a bonus track of his cover of “Space Oddity”. Never has music from inside a tin can sounded cooler.
