BLACK PANTHER Adds Winston Duke

Marvel’s Black Panther has added another villain to its growing roster: Winston Duke (Person of Interest) has joined the cast as M’Baku.

A rival to Wakanda’s Prince T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), M’Baku is a fierce warrior who plotted an overthrow of Wakanda through an alliance with the White Gorilla Cult. Taking the alias “Man-Ape” and becoming a renegade, M’Baku gained super powers by eating the flesh and bathing the in blood of the sacred white gorilla. His augmented powers include superhuman strength, stamina and durability, speed, and agility.

In the alternate Ultimate line of stories, M’Baku is T’Challa’s older brother. Since a lot of the Marvel Cinematic Universe takes its cue from the Ultimate line, perhaps that story element will be in play here as well.

Black Panther is set to hit theaters February 16, 2018.
