Are you a science fiction fan with a taste for the theatre? Do you like to write about aliens or robots or time travel? Do you have a fierce desire to tell your stories in play format? You’ve got five days to submit a one act play to the second annual Sci-Fest LA.

Launched via Kickstarter earlier this year, Sci-Fest LA is a one-act play festival based in Los Angeles. (You can read my review of this year’s production here.) Submissions need to be less than 25 pages with a running time of less than 20 minutes. Authors can be from anywhere in the world, but scripts do have to be written in English. There is no submission fee, and authors can enter more than one play.

The deadline for submission is December 15, 2014, at 11:59 pm PST. Winners will receive a one-time royalty fee of $200. For more information about the festival or about submitting, visit the Sci-Fest LA website.
