Stan Lee’s Former Manager Arrested

Keya Morgan, former business manager for the late Stan Lee, has been arrested in Arizona and is awaiting extradition to Los Angeles.

As we reported on May 16th, a warrant for Morgan’s arrest was issued in connection with five charges related to elder abuse. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Mike Lopez confirmed that the arrest warrant was for the following: one count of false imprisonment – elder adult; three counts of grand theft from an elder or dependent adult, special aggravated white collar crime loss of over $100,000; and one count of elder or dependent adult abuse.

The grand theft charges are connected to $262,000 from autograph signing sessions in May 2018, but Lee never received that money.

Police also have connected the false imprisonment charge with Morgan’s removal of Lee to a secured condominium in Beverly Hills in June 2018. It was at this location that Morgan was arrested for making false 911 calls; shortly thereafter Lee was removed from Morgan’s control.

The arrest follows other legal action taken by Lee’s daughter JC and Lee’s legal team, who filed a restraining order against Morgan last year.

Bail has been set at $300,000.

  • I am so glad he has been arrested. I wish the bail were higher. What a disgusting thing to abuse and take advantage of this once brilliant man who gave so much to the fandom. Let’s hope the jury is full of fanboys/girls.
