SNOW WHITE Sequel Gets New Title, Character Posters
The upcoming sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, previously titled The Huntsman, now has a new title: The Huntsman Winter’s War.
Starring Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen Ravenna, the movie adds Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt to the cast. Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who served as visual effects supervisor on the previous film, debuts as director on the second installment. James Newton Howard will return to compose the score. Joe Roth is producing.
Ice Queen Freya (Blunt) discovers a way to resurrect her sister using the Magic Mirror, and she sets her army of huntsmen to the task. Eric, trained by Freya, now finds himself teaming up with fellow banished huntsman Chastain to fight the threat.
The cast also includes returning actors Sam Claflin and Nick Frost as well as newcomers Colin Morgan, Sheridan Smith, Rob Brydon and Alexandra Roach. The Huntsman Winter’s War is out in theaters on April 22, 2016.
