SciFi X/Y 01 – Talking About Our Firsts

After 25 years — let that take a minute to sink in — we get together behind the microphones again. This time, it’s not the news we’re reading. It’s far more interesting than that.

We’re talking our firsts.

In this particular case, the first time each of us saw Star Wars. And that’s Star Wars. Not A New Hope. Because we were there in the beginning, and we talk about that experience in 1977. Plus, a bit of a discussion about Dragonflight, which Sonya just read for the first time (and we’ll discuss in more depth next episode.

It’s “two best friends on the back porch”. You’re more than welcome to join us.

  • I like how you got your kids to read. I like when you talked about the first time you both saw “Star Wars”. It is getting me excited about seeing the new “Star Wars” movie in December.

  • I liked hearing about my grandpa’s friend Ronnie surprising my mom and uncles with “Star Wars” movie tickets. I’d never heard that story before. I remember my first movie was “The Incredible Hulk”!
