Lindsey Morgan, who plays Raven on the show, talked to TV Equals about the finale:

I can’t tell you that much because I just saw the screening of it and oh my gosh, it was so good, I don’t want to ruin anything. One: it is epic. It literally feels like you are watching a movie. I was like, “Am I watching Lord of the Rings here or Game of Thrones?” This is insane. It’s beautiful and so cinematic, which is awesome.

Two: it blows the entire season out of the water. If you thought the season was good the finale is just going to blow up your brain basically.

Number three: as far as plot goes, I feel like in the finale we see every character fighting for their survival. The whole season they have been fighting for their survival, but especially in the finale. Everyone is fighting and dealing with their own journey of survival in their own way. Maybe physically, and maybe battling others, or the elements or each other, or themselves, but everyone is dealing with how am I going to make it through today, alive?

Ricky Whittle shared similar sentiments with TVLine:

War is coming.  It’s going to be epic, the finale of all finales, and I’m so proud of it. From the actors to the lighting to the way it’s shot to the directing, you feel like you’re watching a movie — like Braveheart or Gladiator or something. If I hadn’t been watching it with other people, I would have teared up a little. And if you thought the season has been dark so far, the finale takes it to a whole new level.

Lincoln started off intimidating and scary to the 100, and now he’s become this indigenous warrior who’s gone against his own people. He’s basically a man without a country, so you have to wonder: Will he continue to go against his own people? He’s now seen as a traitor, but he still doesn’t believe in what they’re doing. I can’t say too much, but he will definitely return to protect Octavia, for sure.

New Shows to Watch:

Syfy released episode titles and synopsis for the first two episodes of their upcoming Legion spin-off Dominion. From them (and several accompanying inyerviews with the cast and crew, we learn that the main character Alex Lannon (played by Kings’ Chris Egan) is destined to lead humanity and end the war against the angels – but this Archangel Corps soldier will have a hard time accepting his role as the Chosen One, going as far as outright rejecting it at the beginning of the show. It also appears, that he will trust angel Michael to help him navigate this new world.

It’s worth mentioning that Anthony Head (Merlin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) said in an interview with TV Guide:

Don’t think you’ll know where the series is going from the pilot.I thought it would be about the Rysen and the Weel [dynasties], the Romeo and Juliet story [of Alex and Rysen’s daughter Claire] and the threat of the angels. It’s not that at all. It turns unpredictable very quickly.

It’s safe to say that the fans of Legion‘s special effects and mythology should not be disappointed.

Casting News:

WinterIsComing.net reported additional casting rumors for Game of Thrones season 5. They speculate the writers might explore Cersei’s storyline involving a character called Maggy the Frog, which is a reason they might be looking for young Cersei, as well as Melara – a girl also involved in that story. The site also mentions that the show might be looking for skinchanger Varamyr. It needs pointing out that none of the rumored characters have been confirmed by HBO at the moment. However, other casting rumors seem to make sense given that Game of Thrones is set to be filming in Spain, suggesting we will be seeing more Dorne in the upcoming season.

We mentioned in the previous column that Kevin Alejandro will be joining A&E’s The Returned. Now we know that yet another character has been cast. Deadline reported that Jeremy Sisto will be joining the show as Peter, a grief counselor who’s helping family members cope with the loss of loved ones in a fatal bus crash.

The Fall Is Coming

Slowly, we are starting to hear the buzz for all the renewed shows coming back in the fall, which makes sense as most of them go back into production in late spring.

The Vampire Diaries’ executive producer Caroline Dries talked to Alloy Entertainment about the upcoming season six.

The anti-magic boundary [created at the end of season 5] will continue to play a role moving forward as we begin to explore this notion of what it means to go home again. As the story unfolds we’ll see the effects exile has had on everyone and see that everyone is handling it (and the loss of their loved ones) differently and personal journeys will form. Some will be fighting for a way to save their home, others have given up or moved on or found peace with it… We wanted the fallout to be personal for everyone.

She also spoke about different characters and their fates. While she revealed nothing concrete, Dries did talk about their general direction, including interactions between now Damon-less and newly alive duo, Alaric and Enzo, as well as a (possibly) darker Caroline. Judging by the interview, we might also see a slightly brighter future for both Tyler and Matt – but with this show, you never know how long that would last.

MARVEL fans apparently will have some movie guest stars to look forward to when Marvel’s Agent Carter finally airs. Hayley Atwell, in an interview she gave to The Daily Telegraph, talked about looking forward to pranking Dominic Cooper (Captain America‘s Howard Stark) on the set of the show, which suggest he will be reprising his role in the show.

Finally, TNT continues to release videos promoting their shows The Last Ship and Falling Skies.
