Netflix’s Daredevil is looking more and more interesting. In the latest round of casting news, we’ve learned that Sin City‘s Rosario Dawson has been cast in a recurring capacity, joining previously announced Charlie Cox (as Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (as Kingpin).

While the name of the character has not been announced yet, we know that Dawson will be playing “a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.”

Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television describes her role as “absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”

Daredevil has a 13-episode order from Netflix and is the first of five Marvel shows to be released exclusively on the online platform. It’s expected to premiere in 2015. Spartacus’ creator Steven S. DeKnight serves as series showrunner, with Drew Goddard writing the first two episodes.
