  • LOVED Penny Dreadful, and am actually looking forward to this new version (unlike some follow ups that should never have been). I do hope this version keeps the art team from the first. The decay was palpable and beautiful.

    • It was probably some of the best storytelling I’ve ever seen on television! So much better than the murder porn that Game of Thrones devolved into. I was honestly depressed when it ended so abruptly.
Rory Kinnear’s Creature was an amazing character and I’m excited to see him returning.

      • Especially since they didn’t announce it was the end! That said, it was always Vanessa’s story, so once she was gone it was told.
Was never a GoT fan. I prefer my fantasy without a heaping side of gore and misogyny (which was NOT so present in the books!).
I’m interested to see how different PD will feel since we are not meeting a group of characters who we “know” – at least on some level. I really loved all those character reveals of classics.
Do let us know when they set a release date. Great post!!
