OUTER WORLDS is coming to Nintendo Switch

Outer Worlds, Bethesda and Take Two’s new AAA game, is coming to Nintendo Switch. The RPG is about how corporations have taken over the space colonies. The main goal of your character us trying figure out how to awaken the colonists that you came with to space from their cryogenic slumbers.

Additionally, Bethesda talked more about the gameplay. The game will have a party system, where you can take two companions with you for aid. According to the devs, the party members will aid you in both combat and other prospects of the roleplaying experience, like the game’s science portions. The game will also have a “flaw” system, where if you take enough damage in a certain area of your body, you can choose to get a permanent injury that decreases some stats, but increases others. While this sort of system is very common in tabletop RPG’s, this is a fairly new addition to the first person shooter genre.

Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, the creators of the Fallout series, are directing this new IP. While no release date was given for the Switch port, we do know that we can expect it to come out “following the release on other platforms.” Outer Worlds will launch on other platforms on October 25th, 2019 PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
