Now It Can Be Told: We Have a New Sponsor

Today marks a bit of a milestone in our operation here. The H2O podcast, in which Mr. Harvey and I discuss various random topics in the genre, has picked up a sponsor. Woo! Go, us! (is that how the young’uns say it?)

SuperHeroStuff.com — purveyors of licensed merchandise for all sorts of franchises — expressed an interest in a number of our podcasts, and settled on H2O as the beginning of what we here at SciFi4Me hope will be a long partnership. And since advertisers in media get what’s called “added value” to their deals, SuperHeroStuff.com will likely be showing up in some of our other podcasts every now and again.

It’s a step forward in developing strategic partnerships with other businesses and organizations connected with the genre, and it’s the first of (we hope) many yet to come. From a business perspective, it’s good to have friends — other companies and groups of fans who feel just as passionately about the genre as we do. As we move forward with SuperHeroStuff, we also are working on partnerships with other “entities” (that’s vague enough, right?) to expand our reach to the masses and find more people who are looking for a genre news site that doesn’t take sides, a news portal that stays objective, doesn’t engage in “click-bait” headlines, and delivers up-to-date content on a regular basis.

Yes, it’s stuff you can find at other sites. Yes, you probably visit more than one site to get your news. I have no illusions that we’ll be your only source for news. But we can at least be your first one, because we generally will link to other sites as we feel necessary and appropriate. So in that sense, we’re the portal to the other sites. Consider us “the hub”, if you will.

And the next time you need some stuff to trick out the Fortress… well, you know where to go. And tell ’em SciFi4Me sent you.
