Hulu Set To Visit CASTLE ROCK
It appears Hulu is a fan of J.J. Abrams and Stephen King. After the first collaboration between them on King’s 11.22.63 went well for the streaming networks original series, they are coming back for round two and heading to Castle Rock.
A surprise tweet appeared on the official Twitter account of Abrams’ company Bad Robot with a mystery image in mid-February. In addition to the YouTube link, it also had the mysterious sentence, “What is the hoax in the forest?”

The following week, the 10-episode order for the psychological horror show was confirmed by Hulu, which is calling the project an “ongoing series” — meaning they are looking to go past one season. The network indicated that each season would follow a different set of characters and storylines with intersecting themes and certain characters from previous seasons.
Castle Rock is a fictional town in Maine, which is the popular setting for many of King’s novels. It first appeared in 1979’s The Dead Zone, named from the fictional mountain fort in William Golding’s 1954 novel Lord of the Flies. Other books that feature the town include Cujo, The Dark Half, The Body, and It Grows on You.
Co-writers Sam Shaw and Dusty Thomason from Abrams and Warner Bros. TV based Bad Robot will also executive produce. Production will begin this year, but no premiere date has been set.
