Fox Sets One-Two Punch on Thursday With GOTHAM & THE ORVILLE

FOX Broadcasting has announced that Gotham will return for its fourth season on Thursday, September 21st. Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi comedy/drama, The Orville will have its time period premiere immediately following Gotham.

The Orville will debut with a special two-night premiere on Sunday, Sept. 10 and the following Sunday, Sept. 17  immediately following NFL on Fox doubleheaders and THE O.T. (approximately 8PM Eastern/7PM Central) So set your DVRs with a wide buffer in case the game goes long.

The fourth season of Gotham will be loose interpretations of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s The Long Halloween in the first half of the season, and the second half of the season will take inspiration from Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s Batman: Year One, according to the Gotham panel at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con.

The Orville comes from the mind of Executive Producer and star Seth MacFarlane. It takes place 400 years in the future and follows the adventures of The U.S.S. Orville, a new exploratory spaceship. Its crew will face the wonders and dangers of space all the while dealing with the problems of everyday life.
