Dragon Award Winners Announced
Over the weekend at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, winners were announced at the 2019 Dragon Awards.
The award was first given in 2016, and is decided upon by a vote of fans, who also drive the nomination process. Fans register an e-mail address to be eligible to nominate in any of fifteen categories. The winners are then determined by a vote once the final ballot is announced.

Other awards announced at the Dragon Awards ceremony were the Eugie Foster Memorial Award for Short Fiction, the Hank Reinhardt Fan Award, and the Julie Award.
The Eugie Award honors “stories that are irreplaceable, that inspire, enlighten, and entertain” according to the official web site. The Reinhardt Award was originally the Georgia Fandom Award, presented since 1990 to honor an outstanding Georgia writer, artist, or fan. It was renamed in 2009 after Reinhardt, who was the first recipient. The Julie Award was established in 1998, named after DC Comics editor Julius Schwartz. The award honors universal achievement spanning multiple genres and is decided by a panel of industry professionals.
