Colin Trevorrow Looks For INTELLIGENT LIFE

BANNER_News2013

Director Colin Trevorrow has his next project lined up at DreamWorks: Intelligent Life, which he wrote with his Jurassic World co-writer Derek Connolly.

The story details aren’t public knowledge as of yet, but it’s said to re-conceived from an earlier Trevorrow-Connolly project called The Ambassador that was intended as a follow-on to Safety Not Guaranteed. The original story centered around a U.N. employee tasked to represent mankind in the event of a visit from extra-terrestrial life. He falls in love with a woman who turns out to be an alien.

Connolly and Steven Spielberg are executive producers on the project, with Jurassic‘s Frank Marshall on board to produce. With Jurassic World being the first big-budget production for Trevorrow, the fact that Spielberg and Marshall are willing to work with him again says much about the results of their first outing together.

Jurassic World opens June 12th.
