ALIEN FRAMES
Director Ridley Scott is currently filming a prequel to the original Alien film titled Prometheus. The starring cast includes Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Ben Foster, Guy Pearce, and Noomi Rapace. The studio has been secretive with the project, and all that is none of the plot so far is this official synopsis:
Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery. – Twentieth Century Fox
New photos of the set have leaked.
From the looks of the photos it appears Scott is sticking to the H.R. Giger inspired look of the original film. And rumor is it will be shot in 3D.

ALIEN GAMES
The new Aliens-inspired video game “Colonial Marines” finally made its debut at this year’s E3. Brian Cozzens was on hand to show off the new first-person shooter from Sega and Gearbox. Inspired by the Marines we saw in Aliens, the game is set in the continuity following the events of Alien 3. The Marines have been deployed to investigate LV-426.

ALIEN NAMES
Writer Damon Lindelof was recently on Kevin Pollack’s Chat Show that while the story started out as a Alien prequel “because that’s what everybody wanted”, it’s not strictly an Alien movie.

ALIEN STAINS
After 20 years of neglect, the original model of the Nostromo has been painstakingly restored by the original model makers, The Prop Store in London. The video takes you through the process, and might even have some tips for wanna-be model-makers out there.
