2016 World Fantasy Award Finalists Announced

The 2017 World Fantasy Award shortlist for works published in 2016 has been announced. The winners will be announced at the World Fantasy Convention, November 2-5, 2017 at the Wyndham Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX. This year’s Lifetime Achievement Awards will be given to Terry Brooks and Marina Warner.

This year’s event features the release of the new Awards statue sculpted by award-winning artist Vincent Villafranca. The previous statue, a bust of author H. P. Lovecraft, was discontinued after complaints of Lovecraft’s history of racism.
