Zachary Levi Joins HEROES REBORN Cast
At the Television Critics Association press tour, NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt announced that Chuck star Zachary Levi is joining the cast of Heroes Reborn.
Levi played Fandral in Thor: The Dark World, replacing Once Upon a Time‘s Josh Dallas. Levi had been the original choice for the role, but had to pass due to scheduling conflicts.
Announced during the 2014 winter Olympics, Heroes Reborn is Tim King’s follow-up to Heroes, which lasted three seasons on NBC and propelled Zachary Quinto to easy recognition. The new show will be a stand-alone 13-episode show. Prior to the show hitting the air, the network will release a digital series to introduce the characters and story lines for the new show.
Jack Coleman will return in his role as Noah Bennett, also called “Horn-Rimmed Glasses” (HRG). At this point, Coleman is the only returning alumnus from the original show, although at the time of the announcement, network executives allowed for the possibility of returning characters.
Heroes Reborn will air this summer.
