BANNER_News2013

Word out of WonderCon is that Showtime’s Twin Peaks revival may have been cancelled. Rumors have been cited, but no one has traced them back to an original source as of yet. Business Insider quoted three attendees who posted on Twitter that Showtime had pulled the plug on the series revival.

Then, David Lynch posted the following on his Twitter account:

No confirmation from Showtime. We’ve reached out to see if we can get anything official and will update as we learn more.

UPDATE: Deadline is quoting a statement from Showtime:

“We were saddened to read David Lynch’s statement today since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points. SHOWTIME also loves the world of Twin Peaks and we continue to hold out hope that we can bring it back in all its glory with both of its extraordinary creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost, at its helm.”
