Third MAZE RUNNER Installment Gets Writer
The third installment in the Maze Runner series of films is set to move forward with T.S. Nowlin returning to once again pen the script based on James Dashner’s bestselling YA series of novels.
The Maze Runner took in $340M worldwide, and production is underway on the sequel, The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, set to hit theaters September 18th. Nowlin not only sole writing credit on The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, but also got an executive producer credit. The Maze Runner: The Death Cure is the third of the four novels.
The series of books begins with Thomas, a teen who has anmesia, and he ends up in a strange world from which he has to figure out an escape. Chased by robotic monsters, he suffers from amnesia in the second film and will be fighting to get through another reality. The Maze Runner: The Death Cure will show Thomas starting to get his memory back. And he starts to learn certain things about Wicked.
