CBS- Comedy- Back-to-back new episodes. The show will return to its normal Thursday time slot in late October.

Forever
NEW- ABC- Drama- 13-episode crime procedural focuses on Dr. Henry Morgan (Ioan Gruffudd), an accomplished New York medical examiner who happens to be immortal. Alana De La Garza (Law & Order) co-stars as his detective partner, while Judd Hirsch plays his friend, who is the one person who knows the doctor’s secret. Special premiere tonight; the show moves to its normal Tuesday 10p slot the following night (9/23) with another new episode.

Gotham
NEW- Fox- Drama- Fox’s most-anticipated fall newcomer is set in DC Comics’s Batman universe, though it will be a prequel to Batman’s story, centering on the origin story of future Gotham City Commissioner James Gordon (Southland’s Ben McKenzie) in his days as a rookie detective, before he meets the Caped Crusader. You’ll also see a pre-teen, pre-cape Bruce Wayne, plus Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) and younger versions of Selina Kyle/Catwoman (newcomer Camren Bicondova), The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Alfred, and likely many more. Scorpion
NEW CBS- Drama- High-energy procedural (sort of a blend of Numb3rs, Ocean’s 11, and The Big Bang Theory) from ubiquitous producers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman focuses on a team of eccentric, socially awkward super-geniuses who work for the Homeland Security department as our country’s last line of defense against high-tech threats. Elyes Gabel (Body of Proof), Eddie Kaye Thomas (Harold & Kumar films), Robert Patrick, Ernie Hudson, and Katharine McPhee star.
