SUPERNATURAL: Season 11, Episode 10 Synopsis Revealed

BANNER_News2013

When we last saw Sam in the mid-season finale, he had been tricked by Lucifer into getting close enough to be teleported into the cage in which Lucifer and Michael are supposed to spend eternity in endless battle. Crowley and Rowena, who helped Sam get close enough to the cage to speak to Lucifer, sneaked away after things went sideways and Dean does not know yet that Sam is in the cage.

The CW has released the synopsis for the mid season premiere of Supernatural. In the tenth episode of Season 11, entitled “The Devil is in the Details”, Lucifer will offer Sam a deal in exchange for letting him leave the cage. We can’t say yet what the deal will entail but we know that Lucifer wants a ride out, badly, so possession may be part of it.

Here is the full synopsis:

Now that he has Sam (Jared Padalecki) in the cage with him, Lucifer (guest star Mark Pellegrino) offers Sam a way out but it comes with a steep price. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) look into the angel smiting that could have killed Amara (guest star Emily Swallow).
I’m willing to bet that the angel smiting didn’t kill Amara. At the end of the winter finale, a host of angels gathered their collective power and struck at Amara from the heavens, but she didn’t seem too worried about it, only hopeful that it would get her brother’s attention.

The mid-season premiere airs on January 20th on the CW. It is written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Thomas J. Wright.

In other Supernatural news, Entertainment Weekly reports that we will see Sheriff Jody Mills again in episode twelve of the 11th season, “Don’t You Forget About Me”. Showrunner Jeremy Carver also told EW:  “Sheriff Mills, who’s taken in Claire and Alex, has a case fall a bit too close to home.” When we last saw Jody Mills, played by Kim Rhodes, she had taken in Alex, who was formerly bait for a nest of vampires and was briefly a vampire herself before being cured. In a later episode we hear that she has had some mundane problems with Alex, like suspected drug use. The boys also asked her to take in Claire, who is the daughter of the man who Castiel possessed and therefore robbed her of her father. Claire appeared to be heading towards the life of a hunter, and has an angel sword that she got from Tamiel when she killed the angel.

I’m hoping that the “close to home” line does not mean too close, as Supernatural has not managed to kill off anyone I care about yet this season. Anticipation and dread are both rising as we get closer to the mid-season premiere.

And congratulations to Jensen Ackles for his People’s Choice win!
