SMALLVILLE, JETT JACKSON Star Found Dead
Lee Thompson Young, who played Cyborg on Smallville and the title character in The Famous Jett Jackson, has been found dead of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to TMZ.
Lee’s publicist said, “It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning … Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed.”
TMZ says law enforcement officials tell them they have found no suicide note, and other sources say that while Young kept a diary, there are no entries to indicate why he would take his own life. And it seems that there was no indication something like this would happen. Young was not obviously suffering from any life issues that anyone has been able to discern. For the past few years, he was a regular on the TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles, playing Detective Barry Frost.
The investigation continues after Young’s body was found by his landlord in his North Hollywood home. He was last seen Saturday.
