SciFi4Chicks: Clone Club Edition – The One with the Battle Bitches

So we tried to come up with a title that wasn’t spoilery (because, let’s face it… the Bacon titles sure aren’t!) but also was specific enough to the episode so you know which episode it is, so here it goes…

Alex and I talk about talk about Orphan Black, season 2, episode 8 “Variable and Full of Perturbation” or as we call it…The One with the Battle Bitches. Ah, Scott and all his geeky buddies getting beat by Cosima in their D&D like Wars game. Never underestimate how into these games we women can get! She is our geek-goddess!

But that was just one shiny moment… well, two if you count when Cosima and Delphine “get baked”… in an episode packed with all sorts of pre-penultimate plot twists! We have clone #9, which is as many as we were told there were (or are there? hmmmm). We have an almost hook-up. Art and Fee get to be an even better buddy cop duo. Sarah gets to take a nap (which is good, because I don’t think we talked about her AT ALL!), and Kira gets a bit of bedtime reading. (Hmmmm X2) Alison and Donnie bond over murder, though he needs a few lessons in how to. Paul is absent but also very present. Rachel has her “Ally McBeal” moment while having tea with her father and looking for archaic computer equipment. (Come on, how many of you have actually used a 5″ floppy drive?) Will Ethan have the answers? Is he as checked out as he seems, or is he a trixy rabbit? Will he and Delphine come together to save Cosima? Will Rachel help? And is Kira safe from Dyad, or even just from Rachel? Especially after finding out her fertility origins.

Take a listen. Tell us what you think. Alex and I pick our Clone Queen for the episode (though I did have to twist Alex’s digital arm to pick just one!) and our backup (will we agree?) before we decode the penultimate episode, “Things Which Have Never Yet Been Done.”
