On the heels of the season finale of Star Wars Rebels, Disney has announced the addition of Sarah Michelle Gellar to the cast in an undisclosed role.

Gellar is no stranger to genre, having been the lead in Buffy the Vampire Slayer for seven years. In addition, she’s done voice work for The Simpsons, American Dad, TMNT, and Robot Chicken. She was also in the two live action Scooby-Doo films as Daphne.

The announcement was made at Disney Media’s sale and marketing presentations.

“We’re thrilled to have Sarah Michelle Gellar on board for season two,” executive producer Dave Filoni said. “She is a true Star Wars Rebels fan and her passion undoubtedly comes through in the voice recording sessions.”

Gellar joins a voice cast that includes husband Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray and David Oyelowo.

The premiere of season two will be shown at Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim, CA, with members of the cast and crew participating in a panel to discuss highlights of the show so far and what’s in store for the next season.
