RUMOR HAS IT – Once Upon a Time, The Originals, The Walking Dead and more!

Banner_RumorHasIt

After the insanity of the Thursday edition, we decided to post some big news separately, but hopefully you didn’t miss neither of them (The Ra’s Al Ghul casting news, and development of a Supergirl TV show). But that doesn’t mean we don’t have anything to report in today’s column! ON the contrary! Aside from a huge number of spoilers for Once Upon a Time, we have info on Constantine, Grimm, Haven, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Originals, The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead and photos from Tumblr (that will probably become a permanent fixture in this column).

Enjoy! And I’ll see you on Tuesday!

Constantine

NBC is adding DC Comics character Det. Jim Corrigan to the series. He will be played by a popular Irish actor Emmett Scanlan (Atlantis, The Fall). Corrigan is described as “obsessed with justice. [He] doesn’t let police procedure or red tape stop him from putting away the bad guys, even if the bad guys turn out to be inhuman.” Fans of the comics will recognize the name as the man who eventually becomes the avenging spirit The Spectre.

Grimm

The new season will pick up right where it left off with Nick (David Giuntoli) and the gang fleeing Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee’s (Bree Turner) wedding after Truble (Jacqueline Toboni) was attacked by the Wesen in attendance.

Meanwhile, a new Wesen will arrive in Portland with the ability to remove the memories of his victims, leaving them in a dementia-like state. And over in Europe, Adalind (Claire Coffee) is headed to Viktor (Alexis Denisof) in hopes of being reunited with her baby, but Viktor has different plans for her.

Haven

Matt Webb Mitovich from TVLine had some scoop about the upcoming season premiere (Remember they are moving the show’s time slot to 8pm on Thursdays so the season premiere will be at 8/7c on 9/11):

Jennifer’s fate is the hot topic as the season premiere plays out – different people need to find her for very different reasons. Things don’t look very good for Dave, either – though there’s a final scene with him that will make you go hmmm. Now, I present you with a game: See if you can ID who says quips of these premiere quotes:
A) “ That lighthouse just can’t catch a break.”
B) “You try operating a supernatural doorway to another dimension using a vampire novel and a positive attitude!”
C) “The handsome ones don’t have to be very smart, do they?”
D) “Be careful, she took down Dwight.” / “And I will never let him hear the end of it.”
E) “I’ll always love you, Parker.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

New face wil be joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next season. Lance Hunter, who will be played by a new regular Nick Blood, is a mercenary. Executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen revealed to ET that this character is going to have a major role in the new season.

“Now that S.H.I.E.L.D. has fallen, Coulson has to look outside of the organization for help, and make uneasy alliances with people like Lance Hunter,” Tancharoen said. “Hunter is a mercenary, in it for the money, not the cause. Whether his allegiance is to anyone but himself is still in question.”

Executive producer Jeff Bell shared this about the upcoming season:

Once we could say the word HYDRA, it’s been a sprint, and we’re planning to just keep sprinting. As the newly named director of the broken S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson will have to make some hard decisions, as Nick Fury regularly did, but unofficially, on the run and with people gunning for him.

Once Upon a Time

Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will be finally embracing her magical talents, and (at the same time) mke friends with the new Frozen arrival, Elsa (Georgina Haig). And while the executive producer Eddy Kitsis confirmed we will be seeing the majority of the movie’s cast (Anna, Kristoff and Hans were all already confirmed), there are no plans as of yet to bring everybody’s favorite snowman over to Storybrooke. There is a chance, however, that we will see Hans’ brothers this season. He also had this to say with regards to Regina (Lana Parilla):

“Never give up on the people you love — a notion that perhaps has particular significance for Regina, whose nascent romance with Robin Hood is detoured by Marian’s “resurrection.” Says Kitsis, “It’s going to be complicated and messy, but we hope it’s a hot mess.”

“We’re going to see Henry on a mission with Regina this year,” he adds.

It does look like Henry will be the only reason for Regina not to slip back tothe dark side.

The show will also delve more into Killian Jones’ past, though according to series cocreator Adam Horowitz, it doesnt mean we will learn whom he traded the Jolly Roger to. At least not for quite some time.

There’s also a casting call out for a one-off role of a pompous prince who beneath his veneer of confidence-slash-arrogance is not much more than a coward ill-equipped to handle conflict. The character is scheduled to appear in episode 7.

Finally actress Frances O’Connor has been cast as Belle’s (Emillie DeRavin) mother and she will appear in episode 6 in flashbacks to Belle’s pre-Rumple past. It will be revealed that she had an immense impact on her daughter’s life.

The Originals

Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will be discovering a secret about his mother that could change everything. The hybrid has always kept his painful childhood close to his chest, but this new revelation could change his entire perspective on his past. At the same time, the show is rumored to explore the relationship between Elijah (Daniel Gilles) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Apparently they used to be very close (though, obviously, not as close as Klaus and Marcel) and that friendship will be shown in the flashbacks. One has to wonder if we will also learn the reason while their relationship went sour.

The Vampire Diaries

Elena (Nina Dobrev) will try to set up Caroline with her new pre-med buddy Liam (Maro James), as she thinks they’re “the perfect match.” One has to wonder if that’s going to happen before or after she learns her best friend her feelings for Stefan. Meanwhile, Bonnie and Damon’s whereabouts will unfold “slowly” as they continue to “get on each other’s nerves like an old married couple.”

And if you think we’ve seen the last of the witchy twins, Luke and Liv, you’re mistaken. We will learn more about their dark past and destiny, including the reason they came to Whitmore College and what their cover is all about.

“It’s linked heavily into the deeper mythology of the show this season,” executive producer Caroline Dries told TVLine. “Once we start understanding why the heck we’re at Whitmore and what their coven is all about, we’ll really understand their plight in life and how it affects our characters.”

The Walking Dead

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple teased the premiere saying:

“The premiere plays with time in some interesting ways. The characters’ storylines crisscross in the timeline.”

Norman Reedus talked to Entertainment Weekly about his character and the way he changed since season 1:

“He’s changed a lot of ways since season 1,” says Reedus. “In season 1 he had such a chip on his shoulder and didn’t think people trusted him and he didn’t trust other people. Everything just kind of came out of the side of his head. This season he’s very much in your face and his shoulders are square to you and he means what he says. He’ll look you in the face. People rely on him now and I think before he thought people would cross the street if he was walking toward you. Now he’s an integral part of the group. People trust him and I think he’s accepted that trust.”

He also teased season 5 Daryl saying:

“Wow, he’s trapped in a box, so I think he’s probably pretty feral at the moment. He’s probably a little scared which makes him a little more feral.”
