Roundup 2.15.12 – PARANORMAN
For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, ParaNorman is the next stop-motion animated feature from the folks at Laika and Focus Features. Scheduled for release August 17. We don’t have much, but here’s the collected news so far, along with the trailer:

The latest Blithe Hollow Bugle is out, and Bleeding Cool has images that show the attention to detail in the props and fine print for the movie (and its marketing). Be sure you click through for the archive on additional images.
Speaking of news, the movie made Forbes‘ list of films to anticipate, and it’s in good company: The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, Prometheus… find it on page three of the article.

For those technically-oriented among us, those that are interested in the “how” – Laika recently licensed Shotgun Software to manage the workflow on the project. It’s a web-based system of managing projects, with real-time access to information and files. This gives Laika a more efficient workflow – instead of clipboards and sketches taped to the hallway walls. [more at Below the Line]
