POWER RANGERS Gets Super Charged in 2016
Exciting news, Power Ranger fans. Saban Brands has released in a press release that we will be getting another season with our current rangers!
Airing in 2016, the new season will be called Power Rangers: Dino Super Charge, and it will continue with our current rangers looking for the rest of the Energems and fighting bad guys along the way. Power Rangers has had this trend lately with adding the word “super” to the second season of the latest incarnations of the show, starting with Power Rangers: Samurai changing into Power Rangers: Super Samurai and then again with Power Rangers: Megaforce changing into Power Rangers: Super Megaforce. I am excited for the second season we are getting of Dino Charge because I really like the cast and it will flesh out the characters more.
We are currently eight episodes into our 24-episode run of Dino Charge and Saban announced new episodes will be airing on Nickelodeon in August. Saban also confirmed my suspicions about there being ten rangers by stating “for the first time in franchise history, there will be 10 Power Rangers on the same team”. I am so excited for the potential of what this ten ranger team means. It’s going to be such a new and exciting premise for the show.
Saban has also stated “Power Rangers Dino Super Charge will also continue to spotlight the series’ core themes of friendship, teamwork, responsibility and helping others for fans of all ages. With Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, the new season will still feature the same amazing team of Power Rangers, but will be super-charged with history-making twists and turns and, of course, epic new villains, Zords and Megazords, making this one of the best seasons yet!”
As a long time Power Rangers fan who has season every single episode and movie I could not be any happier for such an exciting announcement, I mean come on we get new rangers, new Zords, new Megazords, and we get another season with the excellent cast of rangers we already have right now.
