ORPHAN BLACK Renewed for Season Four

Yes, folks. You heard it right.

This is bad news for anyone who is getting tired of Tatiana Maslany’s beautiful face, but all of us know that nobody is. Heck, we even want more Project Leda clones. And that is why BBC America has picked up the the sci fi drama series for its fourth season, set to air in 2016. We’re getting ten episodes, which isn’t nearly enough, but beggars can’t be choosers.

It will be the first season to air since AMC bought BBC America. The first episode of the third season earned 1.27 million total viewers in Live+ on the same day and 1.9 million in Live+3. “Orphan Black is an entirely fresh and original show that stands out even in today’s crowded TV landscape,” said Sarah Barnett, BBC America President and General Manager. “Tatiana Maslany’s buzzy, virtuoso performance headlines a brilliant cast and we are delighted to let our vocal and passionate fan base know that this wildly entertaining ride will continue next year.”

Co-creators John Fawcett and Graeme Manson said: “We’re thrilled to be moving forward with season four of the Orphan Black saga. Huge thanks to our partners Temple Street Productions, and to BBC America and Space. We’re extremely excited about where our story lines are going, and look forward to riding the roller coaster with our amazing fans.”

Orphan Black has been a highly successful show since its first season, a completely original concept that has not disappointed with its complex and steady storylines and amazing visual effects. And luckily, it seems like we’re going to enjoy Tat Mas’s face for an even longer while.

And even if the season finale is upon us, the announcement of Season 4 is a beacon of light to help us carry on.
