Michael Faraday was born poor in London in 1791, and had very little formal education, but he would go on to be one of the leading scientists and inventors of his time, and shape the world through his invention of the electric motor, the generator and his discovery of the electric and magnetic fields. Neil deGrasse Tyson takes us through Faraday’s life and inventions, and shows us how much our modern world owes to Faraday and those who followed him.
