New Faces Join TOUCH this Fall

TOUCH: Lucy Robbins (Maria Bello)When last we saw the Bohms, they had driven all the way to Santa Monica, the very end of the famous Route 66 across the country. Two more important things happened on the pier: Martin (Kiefer Sutherland) and Jake (David Mazouz) met up with Amelia’s mother, Lucy Robbins (Maria Bello), and Jake willingly took and held Martin’s hand. If you’ve been watching the show at all, you understand how huge this is for them both, from the autistic Jake who ordinarily falls into screaming fits if touched.

It was pretty easy to tell that Lucy would be around for season two, since the build-up to the possibility of seeing Amelia (Saxon Sharbino) was pretty big throughout the first season. We’ve seen her in photographs and in some video that Arthur Teller (Danny Glover) had taken of her. Fox has announced that Sharbino will be a regular member of the cast this season, but it could just mean more flashbacks, videos and photographs. But will it be more than that?

Also joining the cast this season will be Lukas Haas and Greg Ellis. Haas got much notoriety as a child in the film Witness, with Harrison Ford, and is also known for his roles in Inception, 24 and Mars Attacks. Ellis is another 24 alum, and has also been in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and does regular voice work for animated shows and video games.

As the Bohms and Lucy search for Amelia, their paths will cross with Aster Corps’ Calvin Norburg (Haas) and Trevor Wilcox (Ellis), a journalist and old friend of Martin’s. How Amelia will come into play is still anybody’s guess.

There will be a special bonus episode of Touch airing on Friday, September 14 at 8:00 PM, the show’s new time slot this season. Presumably it takes place while Martin and Jake were driving to California, as Martin’s new car mysteriously breaks down in the town where he first became a reporter. When he meets up with his mentor and begins to suspect he’s involved with illegal activity, their friendship may be the price for the truth.

The new season of Touch begins on Friday, October 26 at 8:00 PM on Fox.
