My First Day at STAR WARS Celebration
So now that I’ve gotten to eat, take out my contacts, and put on my sleepy pants. I think now I can start to process what exactly has happened the last couple of days.
I’m not really a con-goer; this is in fact my second con and my first Celebration. I’ve seen many photos and watched the live streams and always wanted to be a part of this “magic” that is Star Wars Celebration.
Well, lucky enough for me, somehow I managed to score a media badge with the help of two very hard working individuals, Jason Hunt and Mindy Inlow, and without them I definitely wouldn’t be here.

So this is the second time I’ve experienced something like this, and my first time in total Star Wars mode. Normally when someone starts a conversation with me about Star Wars, I’m like “do you really want to do this? How much time do you have tonight? I can literally talk about this forever.” But here, here I get to do that…with every single person I meet, and it’s amazing.
Not even my husband can tolerate all of the Star Wars all of the time. So being here is a real treat for me, because it literally revolves around one of the things I love the most.

When we got here yesterday, I was in a state of disbelief. Like, how did I end up getting into this place before everyone else? Again, thanks Jason for knowing the right people. But how did I end up getting to sit in the Millennium Falcon and see all of this stuff before anyone else? I’m still trying to figure that out.
Then today, we were the only ones live-streaming from the floor of Celebration? How? How did we get THAT lucky to have that on our side today? I’m here in the middle of it. I’m no longer sitting at home scrolling through Instagram and Twitter feeds, I’m actually here. I’m walking by Funko, LEGO, and Hasbro. I’m seeing and touching all of the exclusives in real life, I’m having all of those fun random moments with those super cool and unique cosplayers. I’m gonna be in the room when the Episode Nine trailer is revealed….well I’m 90% sure that’s what’s going to happen tomorrow, but I’m gonna be there. I am here, and it is SO COOL.
I haven’t had that moment yet though, where everything will actually set in and I’ll really, truly feel it. I think today was just the beginning…however, tomorrow will be totally different, but I am anxious to see what else I’m in for the rest of the weekend, because I have a feeling everything is only going to get better from here.
