LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Finds Hawkman

CW’s Legends of Tomorrow has found its version of Hawkman. Falk Hentschel will join the cast as Carter Hall, archeologist and reincarnation of an Egyptian prince who can access the powers of Horus, the hawk god, transforming him into Hawkman.

Hall’s life of reincarnations is shared by Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renée), who appeared in the season finale of The Flash and will take on the Hawkgirl persona in the new show. It doesn’t appear that the two characters will have any of their Thanagarian heritage.

Hentschel played Marcus Scarlotti in the Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode “A Fractured House”, and has had roles in White House Down, Transcendence, Knight and Day, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Revenge.

Legends of Tomorrow will debut midseason after setup from both The Flash and Arrow, along with the animated Vixen appearing on CW Seed starting August 25th. The Legends team includes Hawkgirl, White Canary (Caity Lotz), Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber), the Atom (Brandon Routh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), along with two newcomers: Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh) and time traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill).

Robbie Amell is conspicuously absent from the lineup, leading some to speculate that the Jackson character may actually be the other half of Firestorm, either a cover name for Jason Rusch or a brand new character caught in the Firestorm Matrix.
