Jeri Ryan Joins HELIX Cast
Following the end of the ABC series Body of Proof, Jeri Ryan will be moving back into science fiction, joining the cast of Ronald D. Moore’s Arctic horror series Helix, coming to Syfy.
Ryan will appear in a multi-episode arc, playing Constance Sutton, the Chief Operating Officer of Ilaria Corporation, owner of Arctic Biosystems, the research facility where the series takes place. Described by the Syfy press release as “Charming and savvy…used to getting her way at any cost.”
Helix is Ryan’s first science fiction project since Star Trek: Voyager, and many fans have been wondering when she’d return to the genre. Helix also stars Billy Campbell as Dr. Alan Farragut, leader of the Centers for Disease Control outbreak field team called upon to investigate and control a potential outbreak. The series follows the team as they delve into the circumstances at an Arctic research site.
Syfy has ordered thirteen episodes of the thriller, in which the deadly virus “is just the tip of the iceberg”.
Yes. The press release actually said that.
