News of series orders continues to hit the web, with Fox now officially ordering The Frankenstein Code among its new series lineup.

TFC centers around 70-year-old retired cop Jimmy Pritchard, morally corrupt and given a new lease on life when he’s brought back from the dead in a younger and stronger body (Rob Kazinsky). Now given a second chance, Pritchard has to choose between the temptations of his former life and a new purpose that comes with the new body.

Written and executive produced by Rand Ravich (Crisis, Life) the show’s described as a “grounded sci-fi drama” (so no neck bolts or green skin). Howard Gordon is also set as executive producer, and he brings with him a track record that includes The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel.

Fox has yet to decide on the fate of Lucifer or Minority Report.
