CBS has released an image promoting the March 28th cross-over when Grant Gustin makes his appearance as The Flash on Supergirl. And it looks very familiar…

Fans of The Flash know this is not the first time for emulating comic book covers. The Flash did this very thing to promote the start of its second season, giving us our first glimpse of Jay Garrick:

In both cases, the images feature members of the show casts in the place of the other DC characters (does this make Alex Batman?).

The official synopsis of the episode follows:

“Worlds Finest” – Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, March 28 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Grant Gustin crosses over as The Flash.

Last month, during the “Welcome to Earth-2” episode of The Flash, sharp-eyed fans would have seen Benoist as Supergirl in the void between the two worlds as Barry, Cisco, and Wells were making their jump, along with the Legion ring seen in last week’s episode of Supergirl (in the Fortress of Solitude).

So far, there are no other cross-over plans, although Arrow star Stephen Amell has expressed his interest in appearing on Supergirl, and of course fans would like to see Melissa Benoist on the two CW shows.

The “Worlds Finest” (note the lack of the apostrophe) episode will air on the Monday following the release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters.
