Feig’s GHOSTBUSTERS Adds Chris Hemsworth
Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot/sequel has added Chris Hemsworth in a role only he would be worthy to play:

The role (and the job) was filled by Annie Potts’ Janine Melnitz, a skeptic who joined the team and spent quite a few hours reading magazines and doing her nails, until “We got one!” In the sequel, she paired off with Rick Moranis’ Louis Tulley.
Hemsworth likely won’t be playing “Joe Melnitz”, but there’s sure to be plenty of opportunities for physical comedy as Hemsworth stands opposite Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
According to the report in Variety, Hemsworth was approached early in the process, but turned down the role due to its size. Producers since added more to the part to attract him to the project.
Ghostbusters starts production this summer with a release date of July 22, 2016.
