CYBERPUNK 2077 Delayed

CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed in release. The new launch date is September 17, 2020.

In a statement posted online, co-founder Marcin Iwiński and head of studio Adam Badowski said, “We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done. Night City is massive — full of stories, content and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”

The game made headlines with the surprise appearance of Keanu Reeves at the Microsoft presentation during the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. During that presentation, CD Projekt Red released a new trailer featuring Reeves playing Johnny Silverhand.
