Bryan Cranston (GodzillaBreaking Bad), Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar GalacticaOutlander), and Michael Dinner (Justified) have joined forces to develop a new 10-episode anthology based on the work of Philip K. Dick.

Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and British broadcaster Channel 4, which will air the series in the UK. The series will be made up of stand-alone episodes based on short stories by PKD adapted by a team of American and British writers.

Cranston, who recently won the Spotlight Award, Actor, from the Palm Springs Film Festival, will star and executive produce along with James Degus (Sneaky Pete, SuperMansion), Isa Dick Hackett (The Adjustment Bureau, The Man in the High Castle), Kalen Egan (The Man in the High Castle), Christopher Tricarico (The Man in the High Castle), Maril Davis (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), David Kanter (The Revenant, The End of the Tour) and Matt DeRoss (upcoming Cinemax series Quarry, The End of the Tour).

“This is an electric dream come true,” said Cranston. “We are so thrilled to be able to explore and expand upon the evergreen themes found in the incredible work of this literary master.”

Moore added, “As a longtime fan of Philip K. Dick’s work, it’s a tremendous honor and thrill to be part of this series. His short stories are a treasure trove of material for artists to draw from, and I think this will be a very exciting project.”

Sony will distribute the series internationally. No premiere date is set as of yet.
