BATMAN: YEAR ONE Premieres at COMIC-CON

BATMAN: YEAR ONE, based on the ground-breaking 1987 graphic novel by Frank Miller and illustrator David Mazzucchelli, has finally been adapted by the very talented team of animation gurus who have produced such hits as the Batman and Superman animated series, “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited” and the recent set of animated features that get received by fans better than the live action Green Lantern did…

Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives October 18, 2011. But fans who will be attending Comic-Con International in San Diego will get to see it early, as it will have its premiere screening Friday, July 22 at 8:00 p.m. in Ballroom 20, will be followed by a panel discussion amongst voice cast members Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Ben McKenzie (Southland), Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) as well as executive producer Bruce Timm, casting/dialogue director Andrea Romano and directors Lauren Montgomery & Sam Liu.

BATMAN: YEAR ONE follows two parallel story-lines, as Bruce Wayne and James Gordon both come into Gotham City to learn just what it takes to fight for justice in a city overridden by crime and corruption. Wayne has to figure out just what he’s going to do with all of the training he’s received over the years he’s been away, and Gordon has to come to grips with the corruption in the GCPD and the toll it’s taking on his marriage.

The Blu-Ray includes a sneak peek at the next animated feature, Justice League: Doom, as well as the DC Showcase animated short, Catwoman, starring Eliza Dushku.
