AVENGERS 2 Trailer Leaks, Then Gets Official

Well, that happened. Because it’s the internet.

Just days before it was set to premiere inside the October 29th episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the new trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron leaked in its entirety onto the internet. Neither Marvel nor Disney have given any official response outside of the Twitter post, but one wonders if there may be some gnashing of teeth over there. Unless it was all a carefully orchestrated plan…

Takeaways:

• Tony Stark is at the heart of the Ultron mess.
• Most of the action here looks like the Johannesburg scenes. Note the non-US license plates.
• Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch appear to be working with Ultron at some point in the story (is that von Strucker’s lab?).
• Andy Serkis has a non-mocap role (see him at 1:32). Rumor is he’s playing Ulysses Klaw. Could Wakanda be just around the corner?
• The Hulkbuster fight appears to also be in Johannesburg. Or is it Wakanda?
• Black Widow on the motorcycle with Cap’s shield out front.
• Hawkeye and Bruce Banner appear to be in the same snow-covered region as the Big Guns. Could Barton be tasked to retrieve Banner?
• The ballet scene has people speculating we may get more back story for Natasha (maybe a setup for the movie in Budapest?)
• Recovering Banner apparently has him in the Quinjet with the rest of the team, only they don’t appear too happy about it. And Banner looks the worse for wear.
• When Ultron first comes into Avengers Tower, you can see Banner, Natasha, Thor, Rogers, Rhodes, Stark, and Barton. There are two other women present. Maria Hill? Scarlet Witch?
• Looks to be a set of Iron Man suits painted in the colors of various Avengers.
• There’s a hint of a flashback for Rogers. Check the hairstyles. More than likely something with Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter.
• The broken shield is next to a prone Thor, not Cap.

And no, that’s not a TARDIS at 1:33.

Taking a look at the possible “flashback” for Cap here, and the ballet scene indicating a possible Black Widow flashback, and seeing the cast list over at IMDb, it’s possible that Scarlet Witch may cause the team to have visions from their pasts? Visions that cause Bruce Banner to Hulk out?
