AMAZING STORIES Announces Judges for Writing Contest
The newly created Gernsback Science Fiction Short Story Contest has announced the judges for their very first competition.
The judging panel is includes Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America’s current Vice President, Cat Rambo, along with Dave Creek and Jack Clemons, all of whom are active members of the SFWA .
Administered by Amazing Stories magazine, the contest begins July 1 and will be open to up to 100 short story submissions. Following an initial round of selection by an in-house reading team, twenty nominated stories will be forwarded to the Judging Team who will then select the top ten finalists. The 1st thru 3rd place winners will be paid 6 cents per word and will be eligible for SFWA membership.
All finalists will receive a “certificate suitable for framing” and publication in Amazing Stories. A published anthology of the winners is also being considered.
