Episode 402 “Meet the New Boss”

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gives us more reasons to be impressed with season four, as this episode delivers more Ghost Rider, more ghosts — although it looks like they’re (yes, they’re) not really ghosts — and our first look at the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the form of Jason O’Mara’s Jeffrey Mace.

Nothing more on AIDA this week, but plenty more development for Robbie and his fledgling partnership with Quake, who’s just starting to learn how not Inhuman Robbie is. Hinted at this episode, is an origin story for the Ghost Rider in the offing for the next episode (which airs in two weeks)? And what connection will this season have to Doctor Strange?

Next week: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is off, so we’ll be discussing Marvel’s Luke Cage, which hits Netflix Friday, September 30.
