Michael Ausiello at TVLine reports that Rutger Hauer will join the cast of True Blood for season six.
Hauer – who’s geek cred includes the blockbuster classic Blade Runner and the not-so-blockbuster classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer, along with the Nolan Batman trilogy and Sin City - will play a character named Macklyn, “a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason”, according to the report.

I think it makes me want to weep that Rutger Hauer has gotten so OLD. I had such a crush on him when I was a teenager.
I just hope they don’t give him a bad Southern accent. All the sexy the man’s got left is that Dutch accent of his. Don’t take it away!
