100 Episodes: H2O Reaches a Milestone
It’s been a long time coming.
On December 25, 2012, we posted our very first (on the record) one-on-one discussion over on SciFi4Me TV. It was a chat about how Santa Claus was very likely a Time Lord, with the necessary comparisons between the Jolly Old Elf and the Doctor.
From there, things got a little hectic, as they do, and then in August 2013, we decided that we’d had enough discussions off the record, and they were interesting enough — at least to us — that we figured we’d go ahead and start recording them and sharing with you.
H2O officially launched with our first podcast episode on August 31, 2013, with “DC’s Dark Knight of the Soul”, a discussion of the DC Comics universe and how Christopher Nolan (and others) had altered the superhero genre forever. From there, our topics have ranged far and wide.
Then, with our June 5, 2014 episode, we welcomed a sponsor — SuperheroStuff.com — and went to a weekly schedule.
Since then, we’ve managed to kick out a new discussion almost every week, and this week we reach a pretty impressive — at least to us — milestone with our 100th episode.
When a television show has their 100th episode, it’s a pretty big deal. There’s usually cake. So maybe we need to make something of a “big deal” ourselves with this episode. With cake? Maybe. Coffee? Definitely.
One thing we are willing to do, something we haven’t really done before: give you control of part of the program.
This is your chance to help us cover topics that interest you. It’s our “Ask Me Us Anything” episode, and we’d like you to send us your questions. It’s your chance to ask us anything that’s been on your mind, or suggest a topic for a future discussion.
Or you can leave your question in a comment, either here or on our social media. On Twitter, you can reply with #H2Opodcast100 and we’ll add it to our list.
Not only that, but we’re also going to have cameras rolling in the studio when we record this week, so you can see “history in the making”. We usually record these episodes on Thursday evening for a Friday morning release, and with cameras rolling, we’ll also be able to post it on SciFi4Me TV.
We want you to put us on the spot — within reason, of course. Ask us your questions and see if we rise to the challenge. Are you wondering about a particular plot point in a movie? Trivia about your favorite genre actor? Need a detail about a book? Go ahead. Ask us anything.
At the very least, it should prove to be an interesting conversation.
